I felt proud, I was able to create a decent impression over you. So like, Daccotta was an idea in my mind and I see it as a product from the starting point (almost 1.5 year ago). My college friend Ashu and I founded Daccotta. The Idea is to create a platform where people can share their movie experience with each other, precisely, To create a social network for cinema/Movies/OTT. We planned everything like UI Design & blueprints, Technologies we will be using, Initial Costing, Timeline Chart, Team creation, Collaboration Tools, Github and all.

Started building it actually in May and Participated in Night's and Weekends season 5 (A motivated community organises this every year to build something crazy).

Then we grinded a lot at night along with college to build Daccotta but in only  5 weeks, we were not even in a presentable form of our prototype. So, we took a pivot and focused on building it with quality code and following the long but real process to make a software. On 1st oct 2024, we launched daccotta version 1.0

Till now, We were a team of 4 developers and 1 designer. (everyone came up with respective skills and offered a valuable contribution to Dacotta)

In Oct-Nov 2024, We decided to make it open source and build it with the community contribution as Daccotta was always about collaboration and sharing.

So, We participated with Daccotta in HacktoberFest, GSSOC 24 (open source events for supporting developers community to contribute to projects with no money intent). We got there 50+ contributors and 147+ PR was accepted in codebase which results into Daccotta's cool looking UI. All thanks to the contributors.

This was the journey So far with Daccotta as a sole and first Startup for me.
